(Sorry for any of you who had to look at that pic with the hideous typo.)
At BlogHer ’11, I got to participate in a focus group for HTC and I got my first HTC phone, the Thunderbolt. I was using an older Droid at the time and I was so happy. I wanted to throw the old phone into the ocean. (But I didn’t because ocean litter isn’t cool.) And a long love affair with HTC was born.
Recently, I was sent an HTC Droid DNA to review.
I think most people know that I am a big fan of Android devices. The OS is easy and I like the phones a lot. It works seamlessly with my many google accounts and all of the apps that I want are available in the Play Store.
The first thing that you’ll notice about this phone is the size. It’s big. 5 inches of screen. The display is one of the best I’ve seen. Unlike a lot of the bigger phones on the market, it is super thin and light.
The interface is very easy to use and you can customize it with ease.
This is a Verizon phone and it is equipped with 4g LTE. In other words, it’s crazy fast. The speed is made even better by a quad core processor.
Since I’m a big fan of Instagram, the camera is a big feature for me. My cats don’t like to pose, so I need a fast camera that takes crisp shots.
This was taken in really low light with no flash and it looks fantastic. (Yeah, Tiki has a pink Snuggie. And a blue Snuggie. And a leopard print Snuggie.)
- The photo quality is great.
- The phone is really fast.
- Normal Android OS experience.
- Really light and thin for its size. (I have tiny hands and the size doesn’t bother me at all.)
- The battery life is average. (If the phone had a longer battery life, it might just be perfect.)
Now, since I bought a new phone in December, I asked my friends at HTC if I could share this phone with my readers. So, if you’d like a chance to win the phone, please enter the giveaway on the widget below. Once a winner is selected, I will contact you for shipping information. This is a Verizon 4G phone. It comes with a SIM card, but you will need to activate it. You’ll get the phone, charger and SIM card and it will be restored back to factory settings. (Although I’m sure you would love to get all of the cat pics in the memory.)
Enter here and good luck!
Disclosure: I received this phone for review purposes from HTC. All opinions are my own.
