I Deeply Love Wells Fargo

I've read so many bloggers who have talked about switching to credit unions recently.  I figure it's time to talk about my bank.  I use Wells Fargo for my primary checking and bill payment and I adore them.

In the interest of full disclosure, I do work in the Wells Fargo tower in Las Vegas, so it is extremely convenient for me to do my banking.  Everyone there is incredibly nice and friendly.  It isn't the fake nice that I am forced to contend with at the grocery store either.  I like the tellers.  Half of them know me at this point.  I heart them.

When I first moved to Vegas, I used Bank of America.  I did not have strong positive feelings for them.  In fact, they annoyed the crap out of me.  They just happened to be close to my house.  I switched to Wells Fargo when I needed a bank that didn't charge fees for a checking account that didn't have a direct deposit associated with it.  I've been in love ever since (and I've got direct deposit back now).

There is no way that I will be switching my bank anytime in the near future.  I am really happy with the service that I get.  They do an outstanding job.  Bravo, Wells Fargo.

It’s good that you have a bank you like. I’m stuck with Chase now that Washington Mutual was acquired through a hostile takeover. Because my businesses used WM, I had to do some serious bartering to keep a lot of the services I enjoyed.
As far as Bank of America is concerned, I have come to the conclusion that they are evil.

I deeply love my credit union. I haven’t come across a single commerical bank that comes anywhere close to the interest rate they pay. And surprisingly the fact that they are restricted to my home state and I am far away at law school in anothe state/city hasn’t dampened my love affair with the credit union!
