Okay, after reading some of the reviews, I intended to delete 90210 from the DVR and not watch it. But tonight, I gave into temptation. I don't know how to say this, so I will be blunt: I freaking loved this show.
No, seriously. It was not the 90210 of my glory days, that's for damn sure. But I liked Annie far more than I ever liked Brenda. Mean girl is good at being mean girl. (And I'm pretty sure she was on Cold Case recently.) Dylan McKay guy with the jet was good. Sassy black brandon was good.
The story line that I saw no need for was the child given up for adoption oh so long ago. I just don't remember drama and scandal involving the Walsh parents, but perhaps that is just my failing memory.
I am going to continue watching this show. Most likely in secret, when no one else is around. I dare say that I like it better than Gossip Girl, which I occasionally watch in secret.
