We saw the Dark Knight at Red Rock Imax theater on Friday. Holy crap, Batman! LOVED it.
I don’t think it is a secret – I like action movies and I am not that hard to please when it comes to movies.
The Boy, on the other hand, still swears that he hates Little Miss Sunshine and our friend Amanda was with him in the theater when he saw it and he was laughing his butt off the entire time. So, clearly, not as easy to please. So, more important than my review – The Boy liked it too.
I liked Maggie G. as the replacement for Kate Cruise and her weird crooked mouth. Christian Bale is always great. Morgan Freeman is my favorite in this series.
So what to say about Heath Ledger… I have always been a fan and thought he was GREAT in Brokeback Mountain. I was completely captivated by his performance as The Joker. He managed to erase my memories of Jack Nicholson in the role. He became that role and elevated it. He is a damn scary clown. One of the most memorable performances I’ve seen in a long time.
All in all, GO SEE IT.
